Your Product Passport is a warranty tracking app/website that allows users to store their warranties and manufacturers to track the lifecycle of their products. It is a B2C model that aims to connect consumers to brands and assist them both in protecting the value of their assets. In simple terms, it’s an app that allows consumers and brands to manage their product warranties in the most transparent, effective and simple way possible. It also allows manufacturers to gain access to used products in order to repurpose them. The idea is to create a regenerative economy that would curb carbon emission or at least reduce it for a healthy future.
Why we created Your Product Passport?
Your Product Passport was born from the frustration of finding warranty documents for a malfunctioning smartwatch for almost 3 hours. That’s where the idea of creating a warranty management app came to our minds. We wanted to create an easy-to-use warranty tracking service and make it accessible to everyone across the world with transparency and convenience at the forefront. Our overall vision is to empower consumers in taking charge of their assets i.e their products, understand their consumer rights, and company policies and use them whenever needed. As consumers, we often forget our power and YPP aims to change that.

Why our vision is so important to us
Every product we purchase today has a long-term, and sometimes irreversible, effect on our environment. While the number of products increases every year, the amount of carbon emission does not decrease. With Your Product Passport, we want to help people become more conscious of their purchases. Throwing away a perfectly usable product adds more burden to landfills. With YPP, we’re giving people an option to send their used products back to factories where they can be repurposed. Alternatively, consumers also have the option to extend their product warranty and protect it from damage. This also allows companies to keep their carbon emissions in check and plan waste management. This unique reverse logistics combined with our vision truly pushes us to go the extra mile for our stakeholders and provide them with the best of services.
